Here’s Some Great Fun Ways To Raise Money For Charity In Summer With Your Friends

Looking for some easy fundraising ideas to try with friends over the summer? Look no further! We’ve come up with a list of 5 great ways you and your friends can raise money for charity while also helping to us to increase breast cancer awareness and also having loads of fun.

One. Get your sweatbands out and run to raise money for charity!

If your friends are feeling fit, why not gather a group to take part in a sponsored local fun run? Or if your mates are seriously sporty, you could enter a local race! Those who want to take a slightly less strenuous approach to fundraising could join in by helping with important hydrating and cheering responsibilities. Make sure to dress up too – donning one of our shirts and some eye-catching fancy dress can also help us to raise breast cancer awareness!
There are loads of races you can get involved in if you’re in Birmingham or the surrounding areas. Here’s a small list to get you started:
Big Fun Run
Great Midlands Fun Run
The Great Birmingham 10 K and Half Marathon
Tough Guy
Mudnificent 7
Wolf Run
Tough Mudder

Two. Drink booze for boobs?

Looking for some easy fundraising ideas that are slightly less strenuous? Why not have a wine-tasting evening or try pub golf? You could have a luxurious night in with friends, tasting some fancy wines and maybe some fancy food too while have a good old giggle. Ask friends to donate money to cover costs plus a little extra to raise money for charity. Alternatively, if you have the stamina, you could get a group together and try playing pub golf. This is a pub crawl with the bars and pubs becoming the course and challenges at each pub becoming the holes. Ask for a donation for the pub golf score sheet, get dressed up in your best golfing gear and see who can complete the course! Please do remember to drink responsibly though!

Three. Throw a breast cancer awareness volunteering party

If it’s your birthday in the summer or you have something to celebrate, you could share the happiness by holding a charity party. Invite guests to join you in volunteering for Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer for a few hours to help us increase breast cancer awareness and raise money for charity. You could even ask guests to donate money instead of buying gifts. You can find out more about how you can volunteer for us here.

Four. Hold a clothes-swap shop

If you’re organizing your summer wardrobe and have realised you’ve got a whole pile of clothes that you’re not going to wear again, put them to use for charity! One super easy fundraising idea is to hold a clothes-swap party. Invite your friends to bring a bag of clothes to donate to the clothes-swap and ask for a donation if they wish to take some clothes home with them. If there are some clothes left at the end, you could get your mates together and run a carboot sale or add in some unused books, furniture and toys and turn it into a full-blown garage sale and donate the profits.

Five. Sign up for an extreme challenge and increase breast cancer awareness

Up for a challenge and need some moral support? Get a group of friends together and sign up for an extreme challenge. You could hike the Three Peak Challenge, cycle from London to Paris, train for a marathon together, or even go sky-diving. Doing an extreme challenge in a group is a great way to get your fundraising noticed and a brilliant way to increase breast cancer awareness if you spread the message and get dressed up. We have plenty more ideas here that’ll get the inspiration flowing if you’re ready to take up a challenge!
